There was a truck submerged there on Tuesday. Wrecked the grate when they pulled it out.

WOW I just read this post. Anyone have any idea how the truck ended up that far in the water? I assume he has a trailer attached?

Many years ago, I had the misfortune of experiencing a buddies truck pop the emergency brake and roll into the lake.

When the cap filled with water, it caused it to roll further in, went a long ways and completely submerged.

Here's the 'Magnet' we're talking about, IF you can get it to open.

Try to see if you can get it to open. Sorry we can't be more helpful, but that is the foto, and that's the 'Magnet' we meant.

Don't think this is gonna work, sorry.

LOL, no problem. We are close enough in age that I knew what you meant to say and my own feeble brain figured it out right away.

Did we ever land on whether or not the launch was reopened and safe to use? Pulling an 18' Lund. Thanks

I'm just wondering if those magnets would have worked on buddy's truck. Seems a lot cheaper than a tow truck. Just sayin'......

"Would those magnets work...?"

Not exactly, unless you tried gang-rigging about 300 of 'em?

Hey Fellas,

Going this weekend (Dec 5-7) and was hoping to launch at the Ferry. Anyone know if it's operational? I was told it may have been damaged.

Thanks in advance.

I would like to know as well.

On Friday the 27th of November i saw a truck and boat trailer parked at the ferry
I did not see any pilons or anything blocking the launch itself.
I guess they got that truck out but did they fix the grate on the launch?

Also at the Picton launch that day I parked in the parking lot for the center and got on my window a notice

"Innovation Center Hasting and Prince Edward Public Health Parking only.
Vehicle will be towed next time

Is it okay to park there on weekends?
not all the trucks had them on are some spots okay for us to use?
I do not know who to call

Anyway I did catch to nice eaters one without a snap weight, and one with a snap wt.
So I am as cofused as the rest of ya all
Thanks Rob
