Fished out from the old church on South Shore Road at end of the afternoon today. ~350 yards straight out from the launch, 7 inches of ice 5.5 inches of which was good black ice. Counted 27 pop-ups in the area, some of which were as far a 100/150 yards further out than I was. Slow bite, two soft touches on blue & silver Little Cleo in the prime time of the last 15/20 minutes.

Was there yesterday 2pm until dark. Dozen or so huts. Close to a foot of ice. No walleyes. A few perch including a couple of jumbo. Same report from other fishermen back at the launch.
