Just curious anyone been by the launch at Finkle's Park lately? Any ice? Is the launch snowed in?

Thanks

It's coming tho. I hope it freezes up tight, I'm hoping to angle some lakers through the ice at some point

During hard water season, I've always stayed inland on the BOQ, never been east of the ferry in winter. Does it ever freeze over out past Amherst to the Gap ?

Do you guys have any tricks to release the lakers after you pull them up from the deep? I know when I catch them in the back lakes you are sometimes looking at an air bag in their mouth and a death gurgle.

The ramp was open today. All my guys went ice fishing so went for a solo fish. The lakers are still chewing no big ones but went 12 for 16 in 3 hrs. The lakers are not that deep and don’t need any help. They are way tougher then walleye. Sorry Dan I’m hoping the ramp stays open and I can sell all my ice gear. Still boat fishing January 27 is perfect. Image

Bob I'm on the fence on that. Pulling double digit lakers through the ice is a blast

Nice fish Bob!! Sorry Dan but I’m with Bob on this one keep it wide open lol. I’ll trust the thickness of my boat before the thickness of ice :D

Thanks for the update Bob.... I agree my boat it wrapped up but I would prefer to see the ramp stay open, just gotta convince a friend with a boat not wrapped to hit the open water.
