Is that an inside joke? I bought a couple dozen tough mudders for $12 two weeks ago. Just used the last of them yesterday. I swear they'd live for a week in a damp room.

I hope it’s an inside joke as Bigbassin18 your mom has always been fair with customers and helping out in any way they can. One year I forgot my wallet and had no cash. No problem drop back later if you can. Felt so guilty as I didn’t get back for 3 days as bad weather came in but she was so kind and easy going I tell everyone about your store. Minnow prices go up like everything else but if we don’t support local then we will be in trouble one day soon I fear. My 2 cents worth.

yeah they count out the minnows one by one. you want 12 you get 12. and last time i was there, like 3 or 4 years ago, they were more expensive than anywhere else. the woman there is friendly though for sure.
everywhere else ive been its $5 a dozen and you get like 18.

Some years minnows are bountiful so a few more is a nice gesture. Other years they can be tuff to trap so
You can’t. I’m not driving out of my way to save a buck. Other times perhaps it comes down to a good customer buying a couple of other things to support the cause that makes the owner want to repay the kindness by throwing in a couple of more minnows in the bucket, I don’t know about others but I would rather support local in hopes they can stay open otherwise you may be driving way out of your way to get them in the future!

Yes. Same issue at timmys. Order dozen donuts and got 12. Same with my eggs. Weird!

Dew Drop Inn minnow prices are fair and I am happy to support the local business. Try buying minnows in Kingston. Maybe prices have changed, but a month or so ago Bronson & Bronson minnows where $9.99 a dozen. Minnows are typically 5 or 6 dollars a dozen for muds. At Sammy’s Bait Shop in Deseronto, they are $5 a dozen. It’s my favourite place to go. BATMAN

100% it’s all customer service. And yes we deal with Dennis at sams to. Amazing people. $5.00 a dozen for them is a good price too. We have to pay tax at her dew drop in for our minnows and basically the $1.00 is the tax savings

I have never been to this place as I trap my own but I say if you need minnows go there. If you are not happy with the service don't go back. Maybe I am just getting old but service and how pleasant the experience is means everything. I will drive past one store and across town to another for good service.
And I can vouch for the fact that sometimes the traps are full and other times it seems like there isn't a minnow in the pond. I still can't figure that one out. And if you trapped 1000 minnows @ $5 a dozen you would be rolling in dough with $416.66. Not really a big money making venture.
