Did a short fish this morning and wow tons of snow and no fish. if you are on foot best be breaking out the smitty sled. There are alot of big drifts and it will be a slug. FYi

Hi Swannie;

TOUGH call, real tough.

Booting around the property this afternoon it was fine in some parts, and a real B*tch in other areas where the Winds blew up big drifts.

It's not 'packing snow' yet, but surprisingly sticky. Took out the lift cable on our SUV at one point.

Best wait to see what The Boss has to say.

Rgds, Wordpecker.

Went out, got my side by side buried, no go for me. My neighbour got out with his ATV but hit a stretch of bad slush.

Slush... Ugh thats not good. I dont own an ATV, bought a sled instead and at times like this Im glad I did. IMHO cant beat a fan cooled sled for icefishing, even when there is no snow a good pair of ice scratchers to lube the hyfax and you are good to go. Along with studding the track put a pair of Woodys 6" dual carbides and you can do figure 8's in tight circles on bare ice.

I was out at bayside this morning and Bain this evening, I took my 4 wheeler and went with little problems. Did some running this morning. Pulled my 3 man portable and had a buddy on. Not setting any speed records but never got stuck once. Fishing was dead today other than a huge sow I lost at the hole. That was it all day
