With all the snow and slush can not say. What I can tell you is Saturday at Akins Rd. in snow and slush I was fishing in 7 1/2's of ice and fifty yards to the east of me was a truck.
What part of the Bay are you looking at fishing so that the fishers in that area might give you an answer?

Two things:

1) Coming across The Bay Bridge around 10 am today, there were dozens of Folks fishing BOTH SIDES.

2) A TRUCK????? Lordy Gordy, good luck with THAT Insurance Claim!~

Just watched a couple ATVs make their way from herchimer. 2 guys on each machine and dragging huts. They made it but it was slow going. Could see a few slush spots and the rain all day with warm temps has turned the foot of herchimer into a small lake

And the local Forecast isn't gonna help matters much; pretty much a coin toss in our opinion.

But you're welcome to go first and let us know. No idea how much of that 9" will be left after all the crap coming our way. Might be okay right now - MIGHT - but...

went out last night on wellers... snow is packed, and very slushy.. I followed other ATV tracks out towing a flip over, slow going and tires were spining all the way so didnt want to stop. followed to about 10M of a guy in permanent huy... I think he thought I was going to set up there as he had that look on his face when he came out.... I took out my navionics to locate thte spot I wanted to fish. I found traveling my own path to be beter than following others... Set up in 19 FOW... Played with Dink perch for 2 hrs then about 6 I managed to ice a 27 in Pike.

Just left Herchimer there was a lad there said he was able to use ATV without issue if that helps. I know my side by side wouldn’t make it.
