We were out to Hay Bay for less than 24 hrs, according to Ontario rules for the Stay At Home.

Able to fire up the golf cart, unload the sun room, hook up the water and insure all power was ok.

Looked at my dock to add flotation and noted the water level.

The water is low BUT since our last visit three weeks ago, there was a observed raise. The water is approx seven feet from the edge of a cement pad that is at the bottom of our steps.

The spring water level is normally at the bottom of said pad, but this year was 10-12 feet away at the end of March.

I would guess that the water is about 2.5 to 3.0 feet below spring level.

A long way to get to normal, probably won't get there for a LONG time.

Guy turned up at the Sherman's ramp with his boat, really nice set up. He took one look at the ramp, water level etc, Said that he might get the boat in, but would never be able to recover it. Not going to risk it. Back in his truck and home.

I just checked the numbers.

Historic Low Average for 16 - 23 April is 245.78 ft..

The current water level on 21 April was 244.91 ft..

We're still 9.84 inches below the HLA.

We're 27.6 inches lower than this time last year.

That's roughly the height of your kitchen table.

If you have 1hr 15min of your life your not using here's a video on Quinte Region Droughts.

In a nut shell, as runoff becomes more unpredictable, we're going to see more of these water level fluctuations.

Might have to start asking Municipalities to extend ramps.

You wouldn't make any friends at the ramp.

The launch at Bayview is in considerable disrepair and your wheels would be five to six feet off the cement.

They increased the outflow on the 24th! Not by a lot but still increased.
