As you may or may not know, there's been an ongoing parking issue for the ramp users at the downtown launch.

Essentially, the patrons of the Water Front restaurant have taken over most of the surrounding parking, including parking intended for the launch.

The Town of Napanee has been trying to come up with a solution to ensure that there's parking for vehicles with boat trailers.

There's a gentleman on Facebook by the name of Donald Stokes who's going to be attending a Council Meeting on the 12th to make a presentation regarding the parking situation.

Mr. Stokes has made several Facebook entries with pictures and concerns. He's inviting comment on the matter.

If your interested, go to the "What's going on Napanee?" page and you should be able to find him.

Personally, I think that water access is a concern. We need to let council know that water access is needed and valued.

Don Stokes a former Napanee resident, who was very active in the conservation efforts in the area, a while back. He was instrumental in the organization of the walleye rearing program in that little shed at Springside park. He is well versed in the area and it's needs.
