I try to get out once per weekend in the fall. The boat had mixed results over the past four trips. Got to get out with my kids, my dad, a couple of nephews, and a coworker. Usually fish around 7:30 to noon.

A few weeks ago was the best. We boated 20 and most were over 30". A big of 37 and two 34. Water temp was 63 and large spoons were the ticket.

Then, we only boated 8 and all were under 30". Water temp was 61 and we tried a bunch of different baits to get the 8.

Last week we struggled again only boating 7. Water temp had dropped to 56 and there wasn't much action.

Today water temp was still 56 and we had a great day boating 18 with a long of 36". Some of the bigger ones had huge stomachs and thick shoulders. They looked much bigger than their length. Spoons were the ticket again. I catching most early on with gold/silver and then my daughter went on a streak with a five of diamonds to catch up and then beat me for the day with five fish in about 30 min. Started shallow, like casting to shore shallow, early and the first five or so were all small. Then moved a bit deeper and had the bigger ones mixed in with smaller.
