I had some friends meet me at my house at 530 am in trenton and we headed out to pryners cove to launch. Unluckily for us all the tims were closed from trenton to picton, so circle k coffee it was( not recommended) lol. Roads were slick and ice, launching dock was pushed to the side at pryners making it interesting.

We set our first line using a drop wieght and spoon at 830 am and within a minute of the planer tracking to the side it went off, first one of the day. It was a little slow for the next 30 mins but we managed to get 4 lines out, 2 running dipseys and flies, 2 with snap weights and spoons. The longest no action was maybe 45 mins. We never set the extra 2 lines out as it wasn't needed. When the action was fast we would end up with no lines in the water as every rod was on fire. Several double headers, and trying to take pics when another rod would go off. We boated 31 lakers, lost 12.

On another note we think we may have hooked a king as whatever fish it was it took 200ft of line on a straight run and a dipsy flasher combo with it..lol

My first time targeting lakers and it was a total blast, not sure why I was after walleye so much now.

Will be a few days before the greasy laker smell will be off of me and my poor boat..

Tight lines all.
