Hey everyone,
Got out for a quick fish today. Had a pretty decent day. 2 on the ice, lost two, and buddy lost two.

Asking about one of the eaters I caught- about 2-3lbs. Had these little growths on its side. I picked them off, and then just started bleeding in those spots.
Any word on wtf those were? Is it edible still?
Thanks everyone

This looks similar to growths on Lake Nippissing Walleye. The MNR identifies it as Lymphocystis. This is very common on Quinte fish. They say it is not harmful to humans. Personally, I would just release these infected fish. Not very appetizing. BATMAN
