Hey guys, I'm thinking about selling my boat, but not really sure what it's worth. Where would I go to get a realistic appraisal to find out the value?

I usually research the various Facebook boat groups. Boatjiji, etc.

Can also google some sites by searching “used walleye boats for sale”

It will atleast give you a rough idea of what people are asking, obv not necessarily what they are getting.

what Mac said. With the covid shortage of supplies, when my insurance is up for renewal I'll be increasing the agreed value of mine.

Nobody knows your boat like you do, so grab a piece of paper and make a list of everything about the boat. Then go down the list and comment on everything like what's new or how old is everything that go's with the boat. Then go to kijiji or facebook marketplace and compare, Thats pretty much what an appraiser will do.

If you have a marina that you deal with with your boat give them a call and see if they would do an appraisal for you. Then what ever number they give you jack it up some.

Regards
