Just a short report on Tuesday's fishing by the cement plant and Long Reach.

My Dad, Laker John and myself were out to fish this Morning (0830) to fish the deep water near the cement plant.

Started trolling at 0900 and Laker John hooked and landed a fish by 0910, this 20" fish was caught on a prototype lure we were trying out. It proved to us a method to catch suspended fish.

We fished til 1130 and had a battery problem and motored to Merland Park, where Kevin was able to use his equipment to jump our battery and get us on our way home.

Thanks Kevin - We own you one for your boost to our battery.

The battery was charged all afternoon and we hit the water again at 1730, heading to Long Reach, close to Shermans Pt to troll the deep water again.

Laker John's rod had another strike on the prototype, landing a 19" walleye. All rods were switched to the prototype and my Dad had a strike but the fish didn't hook itself - Oh well that's life...

Back to the dock at 1945 with a day well spent on the Bay of Quinte.

Stay Tuned

Thank you for your report Superdad! I am surprise you did not use the Uzick this time out...lol..We are heading to Perfect View early Friday morning, we should be on the water early. Look for me in a 16ft Princecraft with 40hp Envinrude.

Hopefully the Uzick Spinner will do their Magic.

Cheers to all.

Al

Glad to hear you're still catching fish Superdad, I love to read your reports.
We were up on the opener and did all right and are planning a couple weekends this fall. (staying at Merlands) . Where abouts do you get Uzick spinners? I've looked all over and haven't seen any.
Any help would be appreciated.

Brian

Bender.

You can get the Uzicks from Larry Swann (haybay larry). Owner of Red Swann Tackle. Drop him an email. larryswan@hotmail.com. I noticed you live in Kanata. He lives in the Bayshore area so you can set up a time and pick them up from his house.
