Was out on Wed Am with Laker John and mt Dad for about 3.5 hrs, wind from the North-east blowing pretty good, couldn't troll the deeper water experimenting with lure combo's.
So we headed for the lee of Mallory Bay and within 15 minutes, my Dad had a big Strike and with the motor cut and the wind blowing the fish put up a very good fight, but was netted, 22 inches - 4.2 lbs Nice fish on a Chartreuse Uzick Spinner.
Made a bunch of passes over the spot and found some jumbo perch and three more walleyes' - 19",18" & 13" All walleyes released and the rest caught on the Orange Uzick.
They're still working.
Back to the dock at 1230 with a good mornings fish under our belts.
Lotsa of luck to all on the Labour Day Weekend - gonna miss it but will be out with HAybay LArry on Mon AM/ Tues and Wed AM.
Stay Tuned.
