Hello All:

I am looking for a trailer on Quinte for summer trips. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a clean, friendly trailer park? We are a quiet family of 4, but our sons are late teens and between work and sports, they would rarely be there. I would buy a late model trailer already at a park if available, preferably with a main bedroom and then a second bedroom with bunks. Or I could buy a new or newish one and bring one in. Any help would be appreciated. Lastly, I would like direct access to the water, but am not concerned if it were more northerly and not directly on Quinte. I know there are many channels which eventually get there and as long as our park has dockage and a launch, I would be good. Thanks.

Ken T.

Just north of us, off hwy 7 near Havelock, is Sawmill Bay Trailer Park. It is on Belmont Lake which has great multi species fishing. A clean park, well run with sites on or very near the lake.
Something to check out.

Regards

Thanks to all for the replies. I would take any others in case these parks do not have availability. Cheers and thanks again.

My kid's had a place at Pickerel Park on Hay Bay. It was pretty nice. They've done quite a bit of work there in the past couple of years. Not sure what it's like now.
Lot's of families and kid's.
That was a big fishing hot spot years ago, not sure what the fishing status is now.

I guess it all depends how much you want to spend. There are two parks on Big Bay that have no hydro or water. Seasonal charges are very low.
Or you can pay a lot more and be packed in close to you neighbor. I have a place on Big Bay and find that by 10 am just about everyday you get blown off the water when the wind comes up. So watch for that when you pick a spot.

Belmont Lake you can get out to all the time. There is also another up on Cordova Lake, can't remember the name though.
Regards

I always like County Shores in Northport. Trailer and Air BNB rentals; a launch and dock slips to rent, as well as daily boat rentals if you don't have a boat. Your reservation also gets you free access to Sandbanks (limited availability on that one I believe). You can go West towards Pt Ann, Big Bay, Belleville; or east towards Dessy, Napanee River and Long Reach. Great fishing just out in front with a variety of depths and Sucker Creek emptying into the Bay there. Very close to Deseronto or Picton if you need anything. Check http://www.countyshores.com for more info.
