I am renting a cottage just west of Belleville in august with the family, hoping to get out to do some bass fishing while we are there, is there much in the way of bass fishing in that area? I have only fished hay bay in the spring for walleye, and my boat isn’t big enough to run to the big lake. Wasn’t sure if I should plan to fish largemouth or smallmouth? Any info or tips would be appreciated

Both species are in Trenton area and there is also Brighton bay. You will find lots of weedlines in trenton
