BUT wait, there is hope and We found it in Hay Bay.

Went out Friday with my son and grandsons and decided to try around Shermans Pt. on the 1st pass, eldest grandson lands a nice 16.5 incher. Fished around the shoal and the deep water for 1.75 hrs, NADA.

Headed to Kingscourt Weed bed and began fishing the shallows. Boy was it HOT!!!!!!

Almost to fire up the big motor to head home and son Dave hits a 19 incher.... Can't leave now, the bites on. Fished for 30 minutes more and landed 6 more fish, biggest was 21.5 inches.

I was able to hook one and we called it a morning.

We took a picture at the dock with days catch.

Was that 1st brown bottle ever nice.......

Saturday was their last day, so we headed back to the fish zone and they were still there, we fished for almost 3 hrs, landing 9 more with 5 kept for the table. 16.5, 16.5, 19.0,20.0 & 21.0 inches. A nice stringer.

Although the fishing had slowed down and reports were sketchy from Mallory, we found a nice bunch in 7 - 10 feet. The Uzick Spinner did all the damage and we had a great time even though the heat was oppressive.

That's two years on a row that they have been here to fish and we have down very well.

Hope everyone finds them. They're there.

Nice wtg Dave and family. Funny how things change over the years, that hockey stick and hooks have been used for more than 1 photo op over the years yet the stick looks to be getting smaller while the grandsons seem to be getting bigger. To be honest, though the smiles are just as big.

WOW...great to see you getting them during daylight hours. Perfect eater size. I might have to get out a little earlier than my usual sundown. I'm guessing you were casting, or were you trolling ?
