Hi gents, this will be my first time fishing the fall in this area. I launched at the Picton ferry this week, but am wondering when Oct, Nov comes, which boat ramp is the best. I am looking for launching which is best and which are no, to go to due to slippery or any other problems. Any info would help.

Your options are:

Picton harbour- great ramp, busy on weekends, sheltered but long run to adolphus reach.

Glenora ferry- good ramp, rough to do in west or north wind. Nowhere to tie boat up to, must have someone with you to dunk the boat.

Adolphustown park: very shallow, usually no dock by fall but smaller boats can use it. Need waders or tall rubber boots.

Finkles park: good ramp, ok parking, little to no dock to use. Not fun to use in strong east or north east wind.

Thanks for the reply. That is really good information and will adjust my fishing with the winds. Cheers.
