Had them years ago and didn't like the hassle of setup so dumped them. After using them again a few times with friends this year I realize their value. Recommendations? looking online I see the standard yellow ones that I had before, but also a red set that seems a bit more for heavier setups.

Assuming you're targeting Walleye...the Offshore OR-12 in-line boards are certainly the most popular on Quinte. I have also heard good things about the DreamWeaver Ninja boards, but don't have any personal experience with them.

Agreed, Offshore Tackle OR-12 boards, ideally with tattle flag system. Helps detect weeds on the lure and also bites, they don’t always rip back when a fish hits.

Dear Angler I have had GREAT success using Inline Yellowbirds as my planer boards however it is necessary to have a second person in boat to unhook them to net or gaff fish

Ya the Offshore are the most popular...But there are a bunch of brands that are good. I use the Offshore with the Church super clips at the front and the red offshore at the back and made my own tattle flag set up. They are pricey all in (if you don't do the tattle yourself) but once you have them you will have them for a while. Take a Sharpie and write your name and number on them just in case
