I found this 35% off sale with free shipping, in case anyone is looking to convert to Lithium. Looks like a good legit deal, but need to research a bit more.

Does anyone know if there is an onboard charger option for Lithium batteries?

Jamie, I looked at this 35% off deal. I would be a bit wary of a deal like this. It appears you need to give all your information and payment info before there is a 35% discount. Why would they not just give you the 35% off price right up front. Personally I would pass on the deal because of this form of deception. I would love to shown wrong by someone from the board that ends up with a $800 cdn plus tax deal. BATMAN

Tks for the concern Batman! You have to enter the promo code 'TEC' then will see the price adjustment, before entering payment info. and ordering. I hope it's legit cause I just ordered! I'll update after delivery.

This is timely as Im in the midst of research on lithium batteries. I'm considering one to run my electronics (Ulta 106 x2 and livescope). In terms of a charger I believe Noco has an affordable charger that will cover lithium batteries

Jamie, I hope it all works out. I assume you got at least two of the 100 Ahr batteries for a 24 v trolling motor. I do have to say I do use a Dakota 10 Ahr battery on my Vexilar. It is a great battery. I got a Lithium battery charger with it. Well, maybe by the time my boats AGM’s are ready to be changed, I will have convinced my wife that I need to go Lithium. BATMAN

They arrived in about a week or so. Seems legit! But no chargers included.

Jamie, Those look great. I understand these use an Allen key bolt on the terminal. I would add a stainless washer and stainless lock washer on each terminal. Then make sure you always have a spare Allen key in your boat in case you need to add wiring or clean terminations on the battery. Also make sure the red positive terminals are covered with a rubber terminal cover. BATMAN

Hey Jamie, I was looking at the Dakota website FAQ's and they say "All batteries 54Ah and larger include a free LiFePO4 compatible charger."

Maybe you not getting one was and oversight. The batteries look good.

Now I'm curious about the batteries, I looked at the Minn Kota site. Found some info on lithium batteries but one caution that I hadn't heard of.

Power Output
Lithium Batteries maintain higher voltages for longer. Motors engineered to make the most of flooded lead acid batteries can be damaged by the higher power output. To prevent this damage when using Lithium batteries you should not run your motor at its highest speeds, staying at 85%/Speed 8.5 or lower.

I did call about the charger I was expecting and they said its not incl in the 35% off sale. A bit sketchy as that's not how it looks on the ad. They did agree to 60% off on one though.
