My long time buddy
"Cymbals" aka John Wilson passed away last night. If you were a Belleville Bulls fan you know who the Cymbals man was. He and I have been fishing together for more than 30 years. We met at work when I first moved to Belleville back in 1990.He took me under his wing and showed me how to fish the bay. Over the past few years he has been battling cancer and gave a good fight. His very last fish of his entire 80 years of life was with me and it ended up being a PB for him, a 7lb smallie. RIP my friend. Im going to miss him

So sorry to here Dan. Even tougher at this time of year. I’m sure he was so pleased to catch that brownie at this stage of his life,! A memory I’m sure his family will cherish with you in the years to come. R.I.P.

Gord

Dan, I read that on line and wondered if he was your fishing bud, I am so sorry to hear that he has passed and will be fishing in the BIG lake beyond.

I had met Cymbals on several occasions and he was always a pleasure to talk, everyone will miss him.

I'm sorry to hear that as well Dan. I always enjoyed reading the stories you told of the two of you out fishing together. Clearly he meant a lot to you. My thoughts are with you.

John was an absolute great man, in and out. He will be sadly missed. Rest in peace, my friend. You're "never alone"
