Fished off big island for my first time on Sunday afternoon. Fished with a friend in 19fow, marked quite a few but only ended up catching 1 each, both around 2lbs.

Tried there again this morning, again lots of lookers. Lost 2 at the hole this morning. Tried a bunch of lures but the gold buckshot spoon seemed to get the most attention. Great to be out ice fishing!

Thanks for the report.

I was out there late yesterday afternoon. 1 lost at hole and a bunch of lookers.

There was about 7 inches of ice where I was set up. I’m pretty cautious on the ice, so float suit and spud the whole way. I only fished the morning and would imagine that with the rain and milder temps that it will soften up a bit. Be careful out there.

I was out Monday with similar results. Small fish with some decent perch around as well. Ice was about 5-6 where I was but shore was hit and miss getting on. ( harder in the dark) to find where we got on. Buddy heading back shortly but with mild weather and rain I’m going to pass today. Two pressure cracks to go around as well which may be worse now.. could go farther down to Wagers but I think I will wait!

The ice IMO, wasn't great and am very cautious as well so spudded.

It made a huge rumble and I think, that's what started one of the pressure cracks.

It wasn't there on my way out, but coming back in, was about 2" wide with water coming thru.

Stay safe and good luck.

Cheers
