So...with everyone getting ready to fish it is time to do an inventory of your safety gear.Flares, life jackets, fire extinguisher etc. One of the best things i installed on my boat (and a couple of customers) is the FELL MOB system. It is a blu tooth unit that wires into your boats kill switch and if you fall over it will shut your engines off. There was a horrible incident last year in Ohio where a capt fell out of the boat, hadn't explained any of the safety procedures to his clients and the boat motored away from him. Radio World has them

Totally agree about FELL MOB (man over board) kill switch remote system.
.
Installed a couple of years ago.

Never, ever, have left the dock without wearing the wireless remote fob.

Most of the 750 engine hours put on the last 2 seasons, were solo trolling.

Boat is going forward when landing a fish. Would be really bad to fall off and boat drives away.

Additionally to previously mentioned equipment list,

I wear an EPERB on my inflatable life jacket. Often we are away from good VHF or cell service, so how else will you get help in an emergency.

Jim, This looks interesting. Does it replace the kill switch? BATMAN

No it does not replace the kill switch,it wires into it. They are USCG Approved as an alternative to wearing the kill switch.
