My biggest smallmouth has been 4.5 lb a few times up in the Algonquin area. Always wanted to break 5. Have only fished the big lake for Smallies a few times, never the 'right' way. That all changed last week out of Amhurst Is. Fished 3 hours, got 10 all over 3 lb. Got my 5 lber twice...was thrilled. Then a monster...to me...6.5 !! Jumped 2X's. Boat nearby saw it. I was then THRILLED !! Thanks to Dan for showing me how, and Stacy for what to use. Might I go back ? Hmmmmmm.......

Congratulations!

As much as I like to fish walleye, the smallies have a way to call ya back for one more go.

Cheers

Nice looking fish! Congratulations on your new personal best! Now you'll want to go back a catch a 7 pounder! Lol

Cheers!
