Back from our annual Haybay weekend with the guys. Always great and this year did not disappoint.
Bite windows were short but we caught about 30 walleye ranging from 7 to 27 inches in 10 to 20ft. Many Drum and a large catfish, perch and white bass.

And,..
Anyone know what caused the strong current exiting Haybay late Saturday afternoon? about a 1 mph current with visible boils in 20ft. Muddied up the water too. Can't say I've seen it or noticed it that strong before.

It was probably a Sechie, caused by the moon.

Had one a dozen years ago and it was huge waves going out and just as big coming back in to Hay Bay.

Quite a phenom.

They can come in and go out strong and fast by times. We almost had a whole pen of salmon fry washed away to one in Wellington a few years back when one came in.
