Happy to see that your problems didn't cause a meltdown of the trip to BOQ and that you were able to land a couple.

It seems early this year - don't know why - just the feel.

Hope the fish move a little more.

Gonna try some different areas on Wed.

Stay Tuned

Holy frig! You trolled at 2.3 mph?? You must have caught the two Fastest Fish in the West! I have never heard of anyone trolling that fast for walleye [and catching fish]! Anyone else troll fast?

I have had the best luck at 1.3-1.5 mph in the day, and about 0.6 mph at night.

Most of my walleye are caught trolling between 2 and 2.5 mph. I have even had luck kicking it up to a little over 3 mph when there has been nothing happening.

Well, what the heck, we'll try it a bit faster then if it works. Maybe with the clearer water due to the zebra mussels you can troll faster.

Does anybody else troll this fast? How about at night? I can't imagine trolling so quickly in the dark.

Thanks for the tip, eh?
