Just a taste of what the weeekend held. Get out there folks, they're on big time!

Although we ran riggers for a day, we had no luck with them. Just running shallow baits at 30ft.

Man you guys did awesome!

I couldn't buy a bite at that depth on Saturday. Must have been using the wrong colour.

Actually I'm not to sure what depth I hit mine at. I still have to do the calculation.

Deep Tail Dancer
50' feet up I added 3 oz snap on
Then 150 more feet off the board.
2mph

I figure i was running in the 40' range.

you were pretty deep Ranger....

the td goes 30', then add AT LEAST 25' from the 3 ounce clip weight....maybe more (due to the slow speed).

therefore you were running about 55' down.....although there were TONS Of fish at that depth, i found them to be less than aggressive.

take that drop weight off and run the same bait.

WOW! I was hoping I was that deep but didn't know for sure NICE!

I trolled for 4 hours 30' and up. Using those baits and some home made worm harnesses with a larger profile and I didn't get a sniff.

That's why I went deeper. Maybe I needed to go slower.

I find ideal trolling speed for fall walleye is 1.2 to 1.5 mph. Of course, experimenting is the name of the gam on some days. As the water cools, slower is better.

Our speeds varied, first day 1.5-2.0 nailed 9, second day 2.0-2.5 nailed 10. Last half day, stuck with the 2.0-2.5, nailed 3 more before being blown off.. :x

Incidently, if you want more specifics, just PM me. Gladly help you out!

Congrats on your success, mate! My dad and I will be out either Thursday or Friday this week, depending on the winds. I'll let y'all know how we did.

Wow...great fishing..great pictures...I am about ready to cancel my trip to LasVegas this weekend and come to Quinte instead.

Have boat ready so maybe the following weekend. Dont catch them all.

Question..is the limit still the same east of the Ferry? One over 25 inches, 4 under?

Nice haul fellas's..

dllm413-> you probably won't catch many past the ferry that you will want to eat.. Mostly all trophies out there.... not too many eaters..
