Made it out yesterday for a day trip to the bay....the conditions were prime for fall fishing, cold, wet, and windy.....

And my new personal best,

Biggest tip to our success? do what Eye Tracker says.....dont fish too deep. We ran all our lines off inline boards, no riggers, no long lines. Can't wait for december 7th, when we go up for 11 days.

Wow! FABULOUS photos! Far better to upload them onto a server OTHER than quintefishing, so you don't get that annoying "frame" around it.

Steve didn't mention it above, but that personal best is a 14.5-pounder!

Now, laddie - tell us about the winds....

Excellent report Steve, as always. You and Jax up this weekend? Joanne and I are planning to come up Friday night and stay til Sunday afternoon at the trailer.....now that I have a nicely insulated add-a-room with heat and a generator! Anywho, keep up the good work.

Good report Steve and nice walleye,

Yup, the big fish are running high in the water column. I think many anglers are running cranks down to what they are marking on the sonar, therefore placing baits under the active fish or below the strike zone.

thanks for that tip bud.....

it takes a lot of strength not to simply drop your baits down to where the hooks are...but after a few outings with success up high, i'm starting to actually understand why they are hitting a little higher in the column.
