~~~Saturday walleyeDreamer and his son Karol picked me up at 4:30 and off to
Image
Young Karol wanted to start phishen as so as we were on the water, but the Captain of the Ferry said no
The day on the water didn't start too well, we had a dead battery, and if it wasn't for a fellow phisherman with a canoe, who loaned us his trolling battery to start our motor. A big Thank You goes out to him, we were on the water. We setted up just out side of the Pack East of the Ferry, and "Phish On" we cleared the rods and WD lands this 7+ beauty
Well great lets get re-setted and start again. "What do you mean the motor won't start"( Add a lot of Polish curse words here)Dead battery, in the middle of the bay. Well we were in luck because we had Friends on the water, actually we made Friends on the water, we signal that we need help and 2 boats show up to help us out. Yes there nothing more fun then passing a battery back and forth between two boats on open water. Wish I had gotten their names, one boater was a member of the OFN and he had 3 very nice walleyes, and while he got the other boater to take his pics for him, he released his phish all seem to be 10+.
Well we spent the rest of the morning washing lures, WD did have tap on his Dippys, but that was all. came back out in the afternoon, again washed lures, and when we spoke with the 2 guys who help us in the morning they had 3 all caught after 12, which was when we came off to book into our cabin. It seems that there was a morning bite from 7 till 10 and again from 1 until 3 when they shut down again.
We stayed at the Lake On The Mountain Resort, 2 min.s from the Ferry docks, We had a 3 bed cabin, with kitchen and TV, plus a great view of the Bay and the Lake on the Mountain out our back door
We got up at 6:30 Sunday, packed up ready to it the Bay again and "What Do You Mean You Can't Find Your Keys" so we spent the next hour searching the ground from the van to the cabin and back again and again, we checked every pocket WD had even hung him upside down and shook him but no keys. Now I haven't even had my morning coffee yet and I'm not happy, I sat down in this easy chair, and stuck my hand down beneath the cushion, and pulled out 1 Wood Backscratching, 1 Pencil, 1 Memo Pad, and 1 very pretty set of KEYS "MARIO"
Okay I'm almost ready for another day on the water first stop Tim's in town for COFFEE, them back to the Ferry docks to catch the 8:30 ferry, well we should have stayed in bed, washed lures all morning with out a tap. Marked most phishes down around 49ft and 55ft, all other phisher people we spoke to out there report the same, no phish, only one team had 1 for the morning.
The way we have it thunk out this is the 3rd time WD and I have been down there and next year we will have it dialed in ( Bull)
WD and I are a thunken of hitten Nia. in 2 weeks, hopefully with better luck.
