We launched in Deseronto saturday morning before 6am. We quickly tried the north end of Long reach with no success. Scooted out towards Sherman's point and noticed boats around Thompson's point. Right away my cousin hooked and landed his PB on a Manns 20+ in Dr Death colour. It weighed in at 10.8lbs.

Things slowed down so we tried jigging. I got a 3lb fish and my cousin picked up another small one. I had an appointment at 1:30 so we had to leave the water for the morning.
We got back on the water in the aft. We headed back to Thompson's point and as soon as we got setup my cousin hit another beauty. 9.9lbs...again on Dr Death.

That was it for saturday.
We were flat lining at 2mph and 95% of the fish marked were below 30ft. We only had one mann's 20+ in Dr Death so I was chucking everything at them but came up short handed. :?
Sunday we launched early again but headed straight for the point. Trolled a bit....jigged a bit then back to trolling. My cousin hooked an inline planer to his line and within 30 mins boated 3 fish!!! A 9.7, an 8.8 and a 3lb fish. I really wanted that horseshoe he had stuck up his you know what. He actually lent me his Dr Death after the second fish but my bad luck prevailed. I got SKUNKED. One of the fish came on a manns in firetiger colour. All fish were on inside turns today. With the wind we were 2.1mph and against we were 1.5mph

Hope everybody had a safe and successful weekend(more successful than mine  ) . Can't wait to do it again next weekend.

thanks guys!!!!

Even though I wasn't on the fish myself it was still fun. Who could pass up a weekend of fishing? I piloted the boat and manned the net. :)
We actually ended up fishing 6 out of the 7 days this week. WHEW!!!

Mike...we're planning on hitting the water this coming sat and sun. Maybe it will be my turn to kick butt with the fish.

 Well I have to enjoy what you guys catch because my boat has been winterized and I live over 400kms from the BOQ.Last weekend the manns lures produced for me.2 on Manns watermelon,my buddy Kenny lost one at the boat on Manns Blueberry Muffin. My other 2 eyes were caught on.one off a williams quicksilver spoon purple with a 1oz clip weight 40ft ahead .the other caught with a yozuri hydro minnow white firetiger. This is a seven inch Muskie lure which produced an 11.4 pounder.3 fish caught with plainer boards one flatlining.Get out early before the boat traffic .and follow the bait fish .Go get a 15 pounder.Mike
