Well the bite has benn fantastic. From my own personal outings and from the reports I have been getting back a lot of places have been doing very well ,This weekend any-one jigging with jig heads and jigging spoons have been out doing the trollers. This makes sense exspeacially saturday with the high sun and no clouds. Two fellows came in yesturday afternoon and told me that they started out trolling first thing in the morning and got notta. They then decided to go under the bay bridge in belleville and jigged with spoons NO BAIT and did excellent. They did buy minnows and went back out for the evening fish. The Trent river mouth was another hot spot for the jiggers. Again trolling in that area from the reports I recieved did notta. This morning (sunday) the jiggers are again out doing the trollers in and around Trenton and Belleville area. On Saturday night I went out for a-while to Myers Pier casting and I personally missed three and lost a big boy. The other fish that were caught while I was there were all caught on yo-zuris. This bait is and has been the best all fall so far. I'm personally trying a different bait that I just got in on friday and I'll let you know the results.
Big bay in front of big Island is holding fish exspecially on the west end of the Island. Trident Point has become hot again both jigging and trolling is doing quite well. Tellegraph narrows is holding fish but the reports coming back are not as good as a week ago. The fisherpeople fishing at and around the ferry have been giving back different reports. But one of the guides that works that area was telling me this morning that he had no problems putting fish on board. But two days last week he had to work hard to get them. Tail dancers, Reef runners, thundersticks and P-line jointeds are the best for the week.
I'm fly fishing tomorrow for browns and steelhead and I'll let you know the results when I get back.
have fun be safe and bring back all you took with you.......... Ron
