Damn, I love the waters of Quinte! Just got back from 2.5 days on the water and had a blast. 8 for 9 on Sunday, 13 for 17 on Monday and 6 for 6 in a couple of hours this morning. It was like we had a bunch of 10 to 11 pound clones out there, with an occasional larger or smaller fish. Biggest was 'only' 12.4 and the smallest was less than a pound......I want that guy 15 years from now......he hit a reef runner that was half his size.....love the attitude. The weather was great, a lovely walleye chop, I wish I could get up there again this week they are calling for 6 deg on Saturday and 7 on Sunday! Global warming? Bring it on! Water temp is 36 to 39, without a big freeze there is a fair amount of time left for boats. A very merry Christmas to all!

Dan:

That sounds like a lot of fun, like the old days! We did that at Thompson's on the 24th Saturday when we saw you there, and nailed 100 + fish in the 3/4 to 4 pound range, most 1 to 2 lbs. That was a blast too, double headers all around but no monsters. The fishery has changed but it still seems very healthy. I am trying to figure out a return trip, the forecast for Jan 2 is almost 13 deg, unbelievable. Happy holidays buddy!

Neil,

We thought we saw you on Saturday, but that was impossible. SO now I know why we didn't see you - you weren't there.

The fishery is AMAZING.

Glad you did well.

C U Next year - perhaps in March in Toronto?

TL

David:

We arrived up there on Saturday afternoon and diddled around for a little while in the outer harbour, but with no luck. The water was chocolate brown from the heavy rains, which didn't help. We saw one fish boated and that was it. Didn't fish seriously until Sunday and then it became fun.

Let me know the day you are going to the March show and we can hook up for a beverage!

Cheers, Neil.
