Good day fishing on the bay?
After four attempts to lure walleye to bite a line/lure that I have draged behind our boat for approximately ten hours a day, I have given up on the quinte walleye, [for this year]
but for all who wish to know Cooks bay at the south end of Simcoe is frozen. I will never state that the ice is safe but I weigh 250lbs and returned to shore safely. Wayne O mac and I caught over three hundred perch and kept a full limit of great eaters.
First ice is great!!!!!
Thanks Wayne o Mac for the company and thanks to Mux for staying home. We feel that we have better luck without you so I will be posting you for sale in my next post. One ugly brother-inlaw forsale comes with new floater suit and two pints of beer.

legend,
Not the jumbos from years gone by, but the one we kept were just under a pound. We put back 200 perch under six inch.
PS: we did not use live bait. bare hooks or what we call bug jigs.
best day ever, keep in front of the gov warf approximately 100meters from shore@ roches point.
2 and a bit inches of ice.
hope you have a fun day with you son and get your limit.
Note: are you interested in my brother in-law i put up for sale? he is Bad luck!

Gilford is reporting 4-5 " of ice. Lots of perch off #89 hwy. Cooksbay message board or icecabins.com has the info. Bait right on the ice.

Sold Snarfy, you know I am a can't say no to a float suit and 2 pints, as for Mux we'll take him too but only under one condition. Yep...you gotta take Patio and the roll of duct tape.

I was out on the Ottawa Sunday past near Hawkesbury. We caught 10 walleye at dusk, threw 8 back and kept 2 eaters. Man is that fun, we use tip ups and minoows to get them, and I jig as well, I use this spoon called an Acme. Some kind sole on this board recommended it to me last year and brother just tip that Acme jiggin spoon with a minnow and hang on, it works nearly everytime!

Stay in touch buddy, happy New Year, all the best to you and the lads.

Jimbo

Hello Jimbo,
Thanks for the sale. Patio and that roll of duct tape is a little much for Mux but Iam sure that you have given a bit more due to our relationship.
Mux Sucks and he has yet to reply to my post. I read that you went down south and did some deep sea fishing, hope you had a great time. I just got back from Mexico with the family and Wayne O Macs family and had a fantastic trip. no fishing but let me tell you that Wayne O Mac can drink a bar dry. swim up bar, twenty four beer and no Pee break. I informed mac that he should sit one seat over just to be safe but I then realized that he did not leave the pool either and kept up beer for beer. What a guy!
Keep well and stay in touch.
