Hello to all! I recently moved to Madoc, and I am looking to come down to the Bay this Saturday for some eyes…..never ice fished it before thought…..where would you all recommend that has a good bite, and the ice is safe enough (6 + Inches 8) ) as not to worry the heck out of the woman?? The location would also have to be walking distance from shore, as I do not have an ATV or a snowmobile…I’ve been to Skevy’s before and bought some minnow’s in the past, and plan to hit that place up Saturday morning for some more bait. I also have a dozen worms that I’ve been saving in the fridge since the summer, would worms work just as good?

P.S. Anyone ever ice fish Moira Lake?

THANKS!!!!

Stop at Skevy's and he will tell you were the bite is.He has lots of guys giving him reports evey day.my sugjestion for you would be to go out at the Hercimer boat launch. There is good ice there but I'm not sure about what the bite is like.Good luck!

I have fished Moira lake before and actually had my hut there all 1 winter.
Not bad fishing some days, the fish are generally on the small size and have the small risk of being contaminated with ( I believe ) arsenic.
