Fishing around Deseronto area , in the middle of major snow storm and winds out of the west made it tough. After slugging through the snow on the ice (12-15" of snow ) we made our way to our normal spot and started to "spud" our holes through 5-6" of black ice. After about 3hrs of successful fishing ( 4 fish ) between 2 of us including one "hog". This was just a quick pick, then put back to live another day. Wheather cleared for a bit so we could see lights on shore so took the opportunity to head home happy. This has been very productive year so far, around Foresters island , as you can see in the background.
As you can see, please ignore the date, it was not setup properly ( my daughters digital camera.)

Nice fish Eddy!!! was hoping to get down there but couldn`t. Might try to come down right after work one/two days over the 2 weeks I`m on days. Sounds like you guys ended up getting a ton of snow!!!! Is it making walking tough? would love to bring the quad and it seems there is enough ice.

I have also been fishing the Deseronto area as well and doing pretty good. Are you fishing close to the huts that are out from the launch?? We were doing well at the start but seemed to slow down so I been trying to stay away from the crowd. Fished one day last week and went out past the huts and more off the point, I caught two right away and watched everybody else get skunked. As soon as I caught the first fish a bunch of guys packed up and moved their hut out to where I was. Glad to see ice their as it is a lot closer than driving to Belleville, I live just north of the 401 off of Marysville Rd. Am going to take a drive over to Demorestville to see whats going on over there
sometime this week. Cheers and great fish!!
