Hey guys. Going out Friday. Is it best on the east or west end of Big Island? Will be stopping at Skevy's for some minnows and info. If I drop my sled down at the cement plant at Point Anne, is the channel frozen over to run out to Big Island?

There are a couple of pressure cracks to be aware of on the way over. Just be cauious. I don't know the current status of them.

Probabbly better to drive over to the island and go out from that side. Better to be safe than sorry.

I was out a Hercimer today and there were two big pick-up trucks that drove from Hercimer all the way to the other side.

We were out at Point Anne lastnight, lots of vehicles out very far all over the place. still in spots though not enough ice for them. I won't be suprised if there is a accident soon. We were on about 8-10 inches of ice but could see that as we were going out furthur the ice was getting more like 6 inches(current). I left my full size truck by the shore. NO FISH AGAIN!
