Just wondering after getting so much snow on the bay over the last few days how much slush there is in point Anne?

It's a compound problem now with the ice. We've got the pressure of the snow pushing it down coupled with the high water level. Use to be you'd drill a hole and the water stayed down about two inches from the edge of the newly drilled hole...now you've got water either even with the hole's surface or overflowing. Keep them huts blocked up! Gary

How much ice is there in various different spots?

We are heading up the 22nd and don't want to trailer a machine up if we don't have to.

All ice thickness reports are appreciated.

Haven't seen much slush on the bay but after the wind last night the snow drifts are a bit higher and harder. Don't think that every drift will be soft.

Went out last sunday off point anne west,decided to drive out to end of cove,made the corner and felt the truck get sluggish,my first reacation was the ice was breaking up holy *** !!! I come to realize it was a large slushie area.Parked the truck about a 100 feet from that area and went fishing,don't think i didn't keep my eye on black beauty to she if she sunk to the bottom.The water was coming up in the hole as other people are posting,Will giver a go again this weekend,keep safe,K.M.B.F.
