I went out today and man was that windy and cold, no way you could fish outside, tucked away in my frabil shelter with the heater on as high as it would go it was just like I was fishing from my couch. I thought I had pretty good day 13 caught 5 lost at the hole, I hate when the ice get over a foot. I didn't get fishing until 9;00 either and I stopped fishing around 4. I dropped my line down and it didn't even hit bottom and I had won on I new It was going to be a good day,
This is what I call my honey hole

Where were you fishing that you had a foot of ice? I don't need specifics, just generallity. Coming up the 22nd and don't want to have to trailer the machine if we don't have to.

The majority of big bay has 10 to 12 inches of ice on it.
