From what I can gather while being a great distance away from home, I am under the impression that the Bays yellow perch are finally beginning to get a little long overdue attention. I wish I was there to enjoy some.

Regards

Hi Len
Those photo's look darker han I would have expected for this time of the year, from what I have seen in years past. Generally I have come to expect a lighter colour from yellow perch in the Bay of Quinte, with the colouration in your photos reminding me of perch from north of Belleville- Napanee in the Canadian Shield.

Thanks for posting them..... hopefully I can get a small meal of some, at some point this year.

I tried posting this pic before and not being a quitter I'll try again. Have a look at this big bugger. Gary

Report from my brother and friends fishing the BOQ all this week, they hit a huge school of perch yesterday. Caught 25 of the jumbo's ... when they stopped biting, the walleyes started hitting.

that one perch looks like it swallowed a football, or at least tried. I like it!

What, using a football as an attractor and a dropper chain to a treble, tipped with a minnow?
