I went for a swim once in Feb. in front of Foster's, so if he says ice is not safe, I'd tend to believe him. I've also seen other's take a chilly dip there as well.

There are lots of areas with safe ice. Moons is correct about the ice where he is setup. Take some time and read the reports on this board there are a few threads with all the information you are looking for. In terms of setup most if not all are jigging with spoons, champs, pimples, hopkins, rockets, rapalas ...ect Tipped with minnows and continually jigged near bottom. Productive areas have been Big BAy, deseronto bridge and mouth of trent river.

My brother went out of Point Anne on Thursday and him and his bud drove across the Bay.He told me there was 18 inches of ice which was covered by 12 inches of snow.I'm heading out there this weekend.First chance i've had this winter. :D
