Well, Laker John, Bayboy and myself hit the hit at 0930 out from the Shermans Launch Ramp, us and forty or so other fishers all jiggiing the holes.

We talked to three guys who went in at 1130 and they had three.

Bayboy hit a single perch and we ended the day at 1500 hrs.

We met the Conservation Officer getting snow machine off his trailer as we pulled away from the launch ramp area. Nice to see his presence.

That's all Folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got a big zero in the walleye world.

BUT, it was a GLORIOUS day with lots of sun and NO wind, good camraderie.

The holes didn't freeze and we fished SANS gloves all day.

Just a Bit unlucky with the walleye bite in the area we were in.

Batman - guess you might have been over on the south side near the church??????

AnNyhow, we had a good day nonetheless.

Looking forward to the Lake Ontario Browns in early Apri.

Stay Tuned

Well me and two buddies headed out this morning, hit the ice at 6:15 out from sherman's boat launch. Got set up and started the final day. Well it was pretty eventful We landed an 8lber shortly after 7:00 and shortly after my buddy set the hook on one and it snapped his New Rod in half 8O We saw some nice fish landed around us including a few 5's a 7, 2 or over 10 and a massive 16 lber.... Absolutely beautiful fish!

We stuck it out all day, and landed a 5 lber just after 17:00. Only two eyes on the day, but a beautiful day that it was.

See ya all in May!

I was out, obviously in the wrong area. I headed out straight from the boat ramp at Shermans where we picked up the 8.2 and 15+ on Saturday. No walleye :( but around 15 or so jumbo perch. :o

All in all a great day....the weather was fantastic. :D

Cheers

Hey Hookset,

I know there's some postings on if you can or cannot continue to fish on the BOQ.....so I can't answer that.

However, I was straight out from the boat ramp. Oddly enough, the one hole I used was pretty much non-stop all day. The others, no more than 50' away, nothing. It's the same depth too so there must have been a school around.

I hoped all day that the walleye would be closing in on the school....boy was I wrong!
