My wife and I love the area so much we are looking to move to the area. We are wondering about the different lakes and type of fish they hold. There is East lake and Consecon lake. Will our 17 ft multi species boat with a 115 on it be suitable for these lakes? Pryners cove looks nice too. We love Salmon fishing as well. Any input on these areas would greatly be appriciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Outkast I live on West Lake and i think that your boat would be perfect for these lake in PEC. If you like salmon fishing just put your boat in a the Wellington harbour and your only a short run to some good salmon fishing. I personally havn't fished East lake but there are walleye and bass in there as for concecon lake they have big eyes and even bigger pike. Wellers bay has some awsome bass fishing not to mention the 20 pound plus pike. West Lake has everything from panfish to pike and walleye. For west lake if you need any info just PM me and i'll try to help.

What kind of work do you do that enables you to relocate just to try and catch fish? 8O

Outkast,

Have a look around for the Bay of Quinte 'Angling Adventures Map' That gives you all the water and the fishes included therein.

Thanks so much for the input guys. Super Dad, I will be in Picton on Wednesday looking at some more homes and was wondering where I could find this map. Stanley..........If I told you what I do I would be jeopardizing the safety of the home we call Earth.................. Just kidding.I've seen your posts before and thought that response would be suitable.

I also live on West Lake so am partial to West Lake and I love salmon fishing as well and its about an 8 mile run out to Scotch bonnet which is a great salmon spot in July and early August. If you don't have blue charts and would like some GPS waypoints for shoals around the bonnet stop by our park I'm around all the time and can print you off some waypoints see our website at www.westlakewillows.com for directions. I also have copies of county maps as well as the angling adventures map. You can also get copies of the map at the Chamber of Commerce which is on Main st. Picton across from the Bank of Montreal. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Enjoy the county its a beautiful place to live and fish.
