Funny, "we" dont like them taking fish but i bet a good bunch of "us" didn't mind spending 79.9 cents for gas on saturday on the reserve or paying 15 bucks for a bag of cigs.

I hate this discussion for obvious reasons but had to add now, after Toddyfish.

For me, it's not a colour, race, creed or whatever issue.....or what you can do that I can't. It's all about the preservation and conservation of our resources....both natural and heritage resources.

BTW....when I pass thru Deseronto area, I do stop by and spend money. Not on cigarettes or gas, but at the reserve shops on gift items. I love the leather!

Cheers

I have no hate related issues either (other than when Muxie catches more fish than I do).

I do want to warn ole Dan Elliot that we will be pulling up beside him again this year for opener. After Muxie throws back that first case of beer, Dan should be careful that old Muxie doesn't try to spear him! You know what I'm saying? LOL

23 more sleeps boys and girls!

BLAH BLAH BLAH O YA BLAH BLAH! Same thing every year! Go and watch how they do it and you might learn something or maybe even notice how much most these guys respect the fishery! We go out and spear all year long with our hooks, is that any different???????

Hello Dan,
your suit of armour is only required from the waist down and by the by Mux has poor sight and may require direction if the camp fire dims. keep it tight and walk with a big stick!
See ya soon

The different would be we don't fish when they are spawning, and we can release them. This gives the walleye a good chance that they can swim again and spawn again.

Get over it - they have been doing that for thousands of years, and the fish survived OK

I am sorry, I didn't know they were responsible for all that.

The Mohawks are doing what they are entitled. If people think that is a problem, they should lobby the government to change the law or whatever is needed, rather than complaining about the Mohawks.

On the other hand, they are not required to pay much tax either ...

I agree with ya somewhat Homer. We can only be responsible for own actions but without action this will NEVER CHANGE!

well I think it's complete BS, I went down to the falls last night to see if I could see any Walleye and I was treated like I was some damn intruder! Then one of them says to me you obviously didn't take the train to get here.... YA real funny prob referring to the "protest" on deseronto road, anyway I have Native friends and they work hard, own nice houses/cars fish/hunt but only what they need. It's the majority of these guys who take barrels of fish home and freeze it for years.

I just love how we live in the same country and have two seprate sets of rules! complete BS.

Can you imagine if anyone of British heritage wanted there own sets of rules because of canada's relationship to the monarchy?
