Hello everyone. My apologies for not introducing myself and family eartlier.
We are new to the Quinte area....as in now, residents of.
Normally our fishing grounds have been in the Kawarthas, Lower Bucky, Stony, Pigeon and twice a year out of Picton.
My fish of choice are Esox...muskies, pike and walleye..........although the kids love the smallmouth action.
We are on the Trent river about 2 miles north of Frankford and have a concrete launch as well a dock off our property where Ill put in my little tinbanger. A 16' w/18hp evinrude.....suitable for myself and one other.
I have a smaller craft for the kids w a 2hp-4stroke on it.
My entire family enjoys being on the water and it is only natural to us as the wife an I are both from the east coast of Nova Scotia.
With walleye season just opening and bass and esox soon to follow Im interested in any info that could be thrown my way about the area I live in.
We're not looking for anyones milkrun or honey holes..........species and types of bait info would be great. I dont have a fishfinder yet but will do soon but am sure curious as to the water depths between the locks where I am............We are located just north of the Iroquois RV park and launch on 33.
Thanks in advance and hopefully this year we will have some pics and reports of our own to share.

You might want to consider the Moira at some point given your interest in muskellunge. The river, Stoco lake and a few of the tributarys hold varying populations. Welcome to the area.

Hey there brix. Glad to see you are on the board here. I was your satallite installer when you moved in there. Anyways I was just fishin crappie there a little north of you but didn't have a good day when we went. Ended up going for the trout in shelter valley. Are you fishing in the tourney this weekend. I can't make it this year cause I gotta work.

Sent You a private E-mail brix. If you have any luck with that little spot, maybe we can exchange some musky spots from your old stomping grounds for my old stomping grounds. The wife bought me a new St.Croix MH and Abu Reel last week so I'm dying to get out next month. I fish St.Clair, Rice, French, Nippising and have been up to Green Bay Michigan. Good luck on the trent. Tell your kids the bass are great just below the papermill too. Thats down a lock, but you can shore fish pretty effectively there too.

Brix,

You are in fish heaven. All species can be caught in the river. There are some nice channel cats in there and smallies by the dam.
Welcome to frankford. Will be there tomorrow. :D :D :D :D
