The New York crew will be coming up May 21 - 27 for our 28th consecutive year. We will hit the Wilton Cheese Factory lightly on the 21st and very heavy on the 27th. If you want some Wilton cheese, get it before we clean them out on the 27th. Will be staying at Cedar Trees Resort. Is there any particular VHF channel you guys use up there?

28 consecutive years... That is impressive. I bet you could tell us a story or 2. So in all these years what has been the biggest catch? As for the radio I dont have one but know a few that do and I think they are generally on 72 or 69. I am just across from you at PP and will be there during your stay. What are you guys driving for a boat? Save a bit of cheese for us locals eh

Hey biggeorge50, I'm with ya. I started in fishing the bay in 1981. I long for the hey day's of the early 80's to the mid 90's when the bay was arguably among the best walleye fisheries in the world. At one point my wife might have said I lived on the bay. In recent years I don't spend near as much time there. I live in Kingston, so a trip to the bay is not a big deal for me. Don't eat too much cheese. It will bind you up.

Our biggest walleye was only about 8# in May. 14# ice fishing. The best fishing of course was in the 80's when you could walk to shore on the boats at Sherman's Point. We started at PP in a construction trailer, moved to Perfect View after a few years, and have been at Cedar Trees for 6 or 7 years now. We will have a tan 17' Lund Mr. Pike and I think the other boat is a white center console Princecraft, unless he got another boat. Looking forward to spending a week up there - great people and great scenery. Love that Canadian cheese (and beer too). Will the Pennsylvania dogs be up that week?
