We (PerfectlyPat & myself) headed off to look at some water and see the fish have been moving. Trolled with planer boards for an hour and didn't mark a fish in any depth.

Switched to Uzick Spinners near some shore weeds and Pat hit a real nice 21" (3.5lbs) - she thought she had the weeds until I saw the rod tip throbbing - a nice fish.

Fished out there from 0930 - 1230, lots of perch out that way.

Fished on Friday evening with my Dad in front of Bayview Resort along with 10 other boats. Trolled the Uzicks and Dad landed three and I got one, three of the walleyes were 12-13" all from the same spot. Glad to see there are smaller fish there.

Saturday morning, we were heading to the flats(east end -Hay Bay) to do some scouting, BUT there were a pile of boats appearing out of the haze. So we turned around and headed to Shermans Pt, Gosh only 17 boats there.

Traffic was fierce as everybody was roaming and searching, my Dad got a nice 23" on a drop off and we trolled the line several more times and then got away from the cloud of boats and hit some of the deeper water.

I hit a nice 22" on an Orange Uzick, and over the morning as the boats scattered we went back to the original trolling line and hit another pair. Ended the morning back in the deep water and I got a nice 19" on the Orange Uzick. Total for the 0900 - 1200 fishing time was five fish, all over 18.5".

My Dad was using the Chartreuse Uzick and landed three and my Orange Spinner hit a pair.

Back at the fish cleaning table, others had equal success, with boats bringing in three and four fish per boat and the fish were all nice fish under 23".

Too Hot the rest of the day and Sunday bodes for Thunderstorms - so we'll take it easy and be back next week sometime.

Sure looks like the BITE is still on.

Stay tuned

Hey Superdad those Uzick Spinners look really nice but your right about needing a weight infront of them or they stay near the surface Great Idea :D
