Hi all,

FInally made it up to Quinte last Saturday with unfortunately no luck.We got off to a late start so we opted for walking out from the boat docking area in downtown Deseronto.

I had the master list with all our supplies marked down especially the hex key for my new Jiffy 30.

Well, I get out there by a few huts and several others fishing on open ice and realize that I have misplaced the Socket Head Capscrew that secures the auger blade through the drill assembly collar.

I know that it is a 5/16ths hex key but when I went to Crappy Trash to find a repacement screw they didn't have any longer ones.

I now know that there are a lot more prepared ice-fishermen than myself(no kidding :!: :!: :D :P :P ) as one of the groups actually had a spare of this screw I'm now officially looking to buy. This tells me it is out there, does anyone know where I can get one or two or three :?: :?:

Also many thanks to two fellas from middle New York State for drilling six quick holes for my cousin and I so it wouldn't be a complete waste of time.

AND.. Thanks to the two guys in the survival suits that lent me their extra screw to do about 10 more holes an hour later. Sorry, didn't catch your name or where you guys were from.

By the way, we were fishing in about 20 feet of water with Williams Wablers and yellow jigs, no bites.I couldn't believe Mud minnows were only $2.50 a dozen at Moon's.

I'll be going again THursday evening if I can find that screw, Please help and reply directly to dpobrien@sympatico.ca if you can help.

THanks,Dale

Instead of using crappy tire, try an industrial supply
company. They can get you anything and it will be many
times cheaper than a regular retail store. I'm in Kingston
and I have used LeVac Supplies for all kinds of unique
fasteners.
