Quinte Fishing

I'm heading up to the Marten River with da Snarf and all the munchkins mid-August. Anyone ever fished the Marten River? We've fished the West Arm Nippissing, Upper French River, Callendar Bay, Temagami, etc., but never the Marten River.

Planning on staying at the Land o' Lakes Lodge. Any comments on the area, etc.

C'mon......give it up.

Hate to give you my report, but: I fished there two years ago. We stayed at a resort just off Hwy. 11 and fished the river and two lakes they lead into. We had 3 boats and 6 guys and caught almost nothing. No walleye and maybe 6 small pike. It was pretty dismal fishing. We did get to watch a cow and calf moose feeding in the river though.

Hello to all the Bay boys, Mux says we are going to the Martin river. Mux spells it Marten River so how in the hell will I ever catch fish when I encounter difficulty with just the spelling. Xboomer has indicated that the fishing is poor Mux and if you want to sleep in the tent ever again you will reconsider the trip and take the Boyz to Lakair. Ps:Ministry dont scare me I just avoid them. The planes overhead are watching & mark my words they see us Mux.
If any one has a good story or tall tail about the Martin River then post now or Mux will be @ Lakair once again.
