i would just like to comment on how non interesting the fishing show was this year it was a recap of last year only in a different building and when you go to something like that its nice to get a deal, and not buy the same stuff you can buy at walmart its nice to see all the new stuff for the year to come, but who can afford it any way its not really worth the 2hrs to get there and come home with a lure' if you never made it this year then i just recaped it for you and if you did then you know, and maybe you liked it but i saw the same stuff this year as i did last year!!!!! but oh well who em i to deside

any ways hopefully spring comes soon

You forgot to mention that you can buy the same stuff at Wal Mart cheaper than what they asked for it at the show. What a rip! My last trip there.

The only deal I found was, I bought a Garmin Fishfinder 160 at Le Baron's they paid the tax. But you are right Bucky NO BIG DEALS. Spinbaits 8 for $10.00,cheap lures one good smash from a pike its gone. I found that for 1st timers, rods & reels were a price anybody could afford. Well thats my 2 cents

I hear ya about the price of things. But on a different point, one advantage to going is that you can find the baits and other "hard to find" stuff that just isn't available in town at walmart or ctc or elsewhere. I like to support my local tackle dealer but once a year I head down and tease myself at the show. Sure beats cabin fever!

I work 5 minutes away from the place and wouldn't go. I agree with Kevin thaat the sportsman's show is where you'll get everything including boats and more. I have talked with some of the dealers locally like LeBaron's and it's said that the price of the shows are getting so outrageous that most Toronto dealers will stay in their store and run a sale instead of paying upwards of $5000. to be at the show. As old Lucky Lou's store owner put it "you'd have to sell quite a few lures to pay for that". My two cents worth. Now I have to wait to open the cottage on Hay Bay if spring will ever show it's head. Hi to Superdad. Maybe this year we'll try again to get together.

Iam thinking about going to the show this week.
last year i remember how many fishing dealers who did not show because of the increasing costs. Perhaps this year there will be more because it is for a shorter time so it shoud be cheaper for them. Ihave heard rumors that the prices for the exhibitorswere paying was going to remain the same.
I also remember the flea market atmosphere they had going on-summer clothing and trinkets in a large area . If i wanted to go to a flea market i"d head to Deseronto-It's free!...Larry
