Just wondering if others been casting/trolling for these beasts down that neck of the woods, I'm thinking of travelling up there to see if I can bump into some of my ol' friends hook up and try for them.

LMK anyone what your lucks been like, even if your fishing the Tweed area's etc. LMK.....

Cheers,
FatPat

Hey the muskie fishing has been pretty slow. A few fallow ups but no takers. That includes Haliburton area also.

I've heard something about fishing for them around the Brothers Islands. Anyone have a suggestion for where abouts, there?

Is one island better than the others....casting, trolling etc?

I've read this on another forum and posted this question but....no response from the guy :(

Not necessarily looking for this years bite action but where and approximatley when it may be good to try around them.

Cheers

Well they say they're a fish of 1000 casts, you're up to 629. Here's another follower with not much good to say for the year so far either. Come on 1000!

Ahhh yes,...musky this year.
Nadda, nadda, nada
Since moving to this fine area Ive caught none.............YET.
The smallmouith action has been great with inches approaching the Canadian record but NO 'Lunge yet alas.
End of september Im either heading to my fav hole on Pigeon Lake or...I am real anxios to check out the action south of Cambleford near the Percy Reach area................Waypoints would be appreciated...lol
Make sure your knots are tied well and youve got the proper release tools before you even go out or stay at home.
Best of luck all..................

Brix, I have friends that fish Pigeon and have had great success, mainly casting sledges, suicks and tons of bucktail combo's etc.

I would love to get there one day and give it a try, I mainly fish south of Montreal where I live along the St.lawrence and it's lakes, man there are MONSTER size musky here!!

My biggest so far is a sweet 53.5" x 22", also had bigger on but lost them boatside

I have not gone out much at all this season for my friends boat is euchered for now , been out with another friend and in 8 days of pounding the water I have three caught and missed 3 biggest going 42".

Cheers,
FatPat

Finally caught my first Musky last night in Percy. A nice one at that, measured in at 40" and fat at 22" girth. They are still out there! Maybe the start of fall will bring them around.
